    EVENT SPOTLIGHT

    Race To Benefit Satellite Beach Parks & Recreation Department

    jingle250Santa and Zippy the Gecko will once again bring Running Zone’s “Jingle Bell 2-Miler” to Satellite Beach, featuring jingle bells for your shoes and awesome Christmas cookies after the race.

    This classic holiday race, sponsored by Health First Health Plans, will be held on Saturday, Dec. 19, with the race starting at 5:45 p.m. at the Satellite Beach Library.

    Race participants will receive:

    • Santa hats to the first 500 entrants
    • Jingle Bells for everyone’s shoes
    • Best holiday costume and fun stocking awards
    • Homemade Gecko cookies
    • Santa arrival on fire truck
    • Free Santa’s Little Helper Kids’ Run

    Race packets will be available for pickup the week before the race, starting on Tuesday morning at Running Zone from 10 am to 6:30 p.m.

    Running Zone is located at 3680 N. Wickham Road in Melbourne between Parkway and Post Road.
