MIMA To Host Breast Cancer Seminar

CENTRAL FLORIDA – Breast cancer is the most common cause of cancer in women, and to help provide answers, MIMA Cancer Center will present a free breast cancer informational seminar, Saturday, April 9, 8:30 – 10:30 a.m. at the MIMA Cancer Center.

Treatment options for breast cancer are complex, depending on age, type of tumor, and other medical indicators and can involve surgery, radiation therapy, hormone therapy, and/or chemotherapy.

Guests will hear from medical oncologist Dr. Simon Vinarsky who will share information about breast cancer prevention and treatment options.

Joining him will be Surgeon Dr. Jashbhai Patel who will discuss surgical options including lumpectomy and mastectomy as well as Dr. Nanialei Golden, radiation oncologist, who will discuss innovative radiation treatments for breast cancer.

“This type of seminar provides a wonderful opportunity to learn about treatment options and to tour MIMA Cancer Center and see the type of treatment facilities that are in Brevard,” says Dr. Vinarsky.
