Brevard Healthcare Forum, FIT Hosts Healthcare Summit

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Brevard Healthcare Forum, sponsored by the Florida Institute of Technology College of Psychology and Liberal Arts, will host their inaugural Community Health Summit on Friday, June 4, at Florida Tech‘s Denius Student Center. (Click for directions)

This event is open to local government officials, educators, community leaders, CEOs, leaders of non-profit organizations, healthcare providers and anyone interested in learning about the current status of the health of Brevard County residents and the county’s top healthcare needs.

The program will begin with a presentation of data from a recent Community Health Assessment survey by Dr. Karen Van Caulil, Executive Director of the Health Council of East Central Florida, Inc. The Health Council serves as the regional health planning body for four Central Florida counties – including Brevard.

Following, Dr. Kristi Van Sickle, Executive Director of the Brevard Healthcare Forum, will discuss the organization’s current community health priorities and the initiatives developed by the Forum. The remainder of the program will consist of breakout groups and a large group discussion to determine future healthcare priorities and solutions.

Seating is limited to the first 125 registrants, and the registration fee of $10 includes a continental breakfast and boxed lunch. The registration deadline is May 28. (CLICK HERE to register online)
