Running Zone and Space Coast Runners presented the 38th running of the Space Coast Marathon and Half-Marathon on Sunday, Nov. 29. Both races started in Cocoa Village, and featured a finish with a lap around the Riverfront Park Amphitheater.

The Piercy's were very appreciative of the approximately 325 volunteers who assisted in producing the race.

"Course marshals, aid stations, finish line area, food and refreshments, start corrals, cleanup and many other areas all needed volunteers and we had a great response this year to fill all of these positions," said Denise.

"The emails and phone calls that we have received after the race have been extremely positive and this response is because of the volunteers awesome support and positive attitude! I was looking for the right words to express just how thankful we are for all of the volunteers that helped with the Space Coast Marathon and Half Marathon," Denise said.

"A special thank you also goes out to the Space Coast Marathon committee members of Space Coast Runners as well as all of the Space Coast Runner’s volunteers. You truly make a difference in the running community and in the lives of Brevard County residents."
