BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The "Set Goals, Not Limits" 2010 Winter Running Camp will begin Jan. 12 as Coach Doug Butler will individually assess each runner based on their individual goals, and then set each runner up with a customized training program.

Butler will base each training regimen on the participant's level of fitness and advise them how to move forward to achieve their goals while staying injury free.

"This is a training program geared for the beginner to the elite runner," said Coach Butler.

The running camp will be held Jan. 12 - May 6 on Tuesday and Thursday at 6:00 p.m., and Sunday at 6:30 a.m. The running camp will begin in the south parking lot at the Brevard Community College, Melbourne Campus. Sunday long runs will begin at 6:30 a.m. inside Wickham Park near the shuffleboard courts.

Very few people train at the paces they should be running at in order to increase their fitness level, according to Coach Butler.

"This camp will teach you what paces you should be training at," said Butler. The camp is geared for adults, but students are welcome to join if they are not a member of a high school track and field team.
