DANIEL CUSCELA DO, Cancer Program Physician Liaison with Parrish Medical Center, has been named an affiliate of the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute.

As a Moffitt affiliate, Dr. Cuscela is part of a collaborative team working to enhance the quality and breadth of cancer care services for Florida cancer patients, their families and the community. Moffitt affiliates are strategically selected according to geographic location and quality of cancer care. These affiliations actively support medical education, quality improvement and research initiatives.

Dr. Cuscela is board-certified in Radiation Oncology by the American Board of Radiology. He earned his medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Philadelphia, Penn., did his internship at the University of Rochester, Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester, NY, and completed a fellowship in radiation biology and a residency in radiation oncology at the National Cancer Institute National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Md. Dr. Cuscela completed a second fellowship at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Tex., and was a medical officer in the United States Public Health Service.

Dr. Cuscela has extensive experience in radiation oncology, and has been published in numerous professional publications, from the Cancer Journal to Scientific American.

Moffitt is a member of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network, a prestigious alliance of the country’s leading cancer centers, and is listed in U.S. News & World Report as one of the top cancer hospitals in America.
